Online Elementary Education Program Application

Elementary and Literacy Education Program Application Admission to the program is based on multiple factors. To apply, please complete this survey. You will be notified about your admission status via email. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact ele@mnsu.edu.

Do I qualify to apply?

To qualify for this program, you must have:
- Successful completion of 60 hours or an AA degree
- A 3.0 cumulative GPA

What if I don’t have a 3.0 GPA?

In some cases, students can qualify for a variance. Please inquire about this at ele@mnsu.edu

When can I start?

You can start the online program in the fall.

When can I apply?

Admission for the program is accepted on a rolling basis for the fall semester.

How do I apply to the Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education online?

Step One: You will need to complete two applications:
- Apply to Minnesota State, Mankato (mnsu.edu/future-students)
Step Two:
- Apply to the MSU Mankato’s Bachelor’s of Science Online

What should I submit for admission?

To be considered for admission, you must submit an application and a video. The application and more information about the video can be found above.

How much is tuition, and is there financial assistance?

Tuition assistance can be found at mnsu.edu/university-life/campus-services/campushub/bills-payment/tuition-and-fees/undergraduate-tuition-fees
Financial assistance includes loans, grants, and scholarships. To be considered for student loans and other government-based student aid, students must submit an online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). To be considered for grants and scholarships, contact admissions@mnsu.edu.
